Houses and Stinkfish, Number 4

My neighborhood walks.

Today's house: PXL_20251122_173731879

This is how I imagine the conversation when they commissioned this house to be built:

"Good news! I found an architectural firm to design our new house!"

"Great!"

"The only drawback is the firm mostly designs churches."

"Churches?"

"Yes, but they assured me that they could easily do a house and it wouldn't resemble a church even a little bit. No one will look at the house and think, 'That used to be a church.'"

And the rest is history.

And here's our stinkfish: PXL_20251122_173133649

I don't know who "V.D. Minnis" was or is but apparently they felt no need to act like a responsible contractor and date their work. Apparently, they lived in a debauched and anarchic hellscape where sidewalks were just slapped down willy-nilly. Feeling no responsibility at all for future generations, V.D. Minnis simply left us all to wonder what kind of irresponsible and uncaring contractor they actually were. Will no one think of the children?
